House in ALBANY, Western Australia

Welcome to our home. Peter and Colleen are a retired couple who are enjoying our retirement years traveling the world while we are fit and healthy.
We live on the Southern coastal area of Western Australia. ALBANY is 4 hours by car from Perth OR if you fly, only 1 hour. There is also a daily bus to Albany from Perth.
Our home is in the centre of Albany within walking distance to almost everything. Our heritage listed home (built in 1897) has a wonderful view down over the Port of Albany. There is nothing nicer than sitting with the first coffee of the day watching huge ships berthing in the harbour. Occasionally large cruise ships make there way into the harbour and unload their 'cargo' for a days entertainment on shore, before continuing on their way to Esperence of Fremantle.

Our quiet neighbourhood is a wonderful place to relax after a busy day walking and exploring our surroundings.
Our 3 bedroom home is suitable for up to 6 people, though all 3 rooms have double beds. We have all modern amenities including dishwasher, Internet, television etc.

At present we have a lovely cottage garden with a plentiful supply of flowers to adorn the house. The vegetable garden is quite productive during the summer months when we are here to care for it.

We love to share our part of the world with others. So please come and visit us here in Albany.

Our home is available at anytime  with or without us here. So please be in touch when you are planning your next trip, we would love to hear from anyone travelling the world.

Lifestyle

The lifestyle in Albany is as active or as relaxed as one wishes it to be. If you love nature, beautiful beaches, walking, swimming, fishing or wine tasting, you can do all this and more. There is something for everyone here.
Relax in the garden, visit our many wineries, swim in our magnificent oceans or go hiking, biking or rock climbing.
You can explore the farming country side and discover the hundreds of different wildflowers. Maybe you would like to go whale watching (Sept - Nov) either from the shore or from a boat.

Albany has  2 wonderful  weekly farmers markets on the weekends. We love to buy our fresh
vegetables there on Saturday. Sunday we go to the Boat Shed market to meet with friends while sitting having a coffee looking out to our new Marina. All of this is just a 5 minute walk from our home.
Albany also has a modern Entertainment Centre which has frequent concerts, live music, symphonies and orchestra's. Early each year their is an amazing array of International Artist that come into the town for our International Festive.
More recently, Albany Commemorated 100 years of ANZAC. It was from Albany that 35 war ships left for Gallilpoli. The ANZAC Interpretative Centre was completed last year and is a centre that must not be missed while in Albany.
